Insight Meditation Group led by Jaya Rudgard

Jaya (Karen) Rudgard runs a drop-in Insight meditation group in central Oxford on Monday evening. All are welcome and no booking is necessary. There is a half-hour meditation followed by Q&A, teaching and discussion. Chris Cullen will also be teaching on some occasions. These evenings are offered on a dana basis.

Jaya began meditating in 1985, and was ordained as a nun in the Thai Forest Tradition from 1996-2005. Her first teacher was Ajahn Sumedho, and she is currently completing a four-year teacher training with Jack Kornfield, Joseph Goldstein and others. She teaches retreats at Gaia House and in the USA, and also teaches Mindfulness and Mindful Self-Compassion.

Peer Led Meditation Group

Would you like to practice meditation/mindfulness with a welcoming friendly group of people? Are you interested in discussing the teachings of the Buddha and how they apply to our lives? A well-established group meets at members’ homes, fortnightly on Wednesdays. Open to all and following a a secular/non denominational tradition.
